WhatsApp Notifications

Sending messages via WhatsApp allows supervision groups to receive automatic notifications when incidents are recorded during active monitoring.

Below we explain how to configure the sending channel, authorize message receipt, and how alerts work.

1. Enabling the WhatsApp Channel

For sending to happen via WhatsApp, the channel must be enabled in the settings of the desired broadcast group.

2. Sending Authorization

As soon as the first incident is triggered, a message will be sent requesting authorization for continuous notification sending for 24h.

If authorized, subsequent alerts will be sent automatically. If denied, no further messages will be sent during this period.

3. Example Messages Sent

New Incident: When a new incident is recorded, a message will be sent with information such as:

  • Severity level
  • Risk type (e.g., temperature, fatigue)
  • Employee name and ID
  • Monitoring type
  • Time since the critical condition began
  • Time of record

Incident Escalation: If the condition becomes more severe, a new message is sent with the new risk level.

4. Notification Protocol

  • Each new incident generates a notification.
  • A sending task is created for each broadcast group member.
  • If there's already a pending conversation, the new message waits for authorization.
  • The message is only sent if authorized. Otherwise, it is discarded.
  • Authorization is requested on the first occurrence and is valid for 24 hours.

5. System Limitations

  • The notification reference time is GMT-3.
  • Messages are sent only in Portuguese.
  • The system does not verify whether the provided phone number is valid on WhatsApp.
