Running a Pilot Program

Before rolling out Dersalis across the entire operation, select a small group of operators to run a pilot program. Choose professionals who are familiar with the company’s needs, are trusted by their peers and are open to providing honest feedback.

Record difficulties, best practices and suggestions to adjust the implementation and training strategy before full-scale adoption.

Pilot steps

Estimated duration: 4 to 6 weeks

1. Choose a pilot location
Some companies prefer starting in a simpler environment to ease adoption. Others select more complex scenarios to gather valuable insights for broader deployment.

2. Train the pilot team on-site
Test training materials and the delivery approach. Use the Train the Trainers model and identify any areas of confusion or difficulty.

3. Monitor for a few weeks
Observe how operators interact with the system. Evaluate if the dashboard is properly configured and identify pain points. Hold weekly 30-minute meetings with stakeholders and offer an anonymous feedback channel.

4. Adjust based on lessons learned
Update configurations and training materials according to the challenges observed. Share improvements with pilot participants before the full implementation.

Final tip
A well-structured pilot reduces errors, speeds up adoption and increases team acceptance during the final rollout.
