Understand key terms used on the Dersalis platform

Updated over 7 months ago

The Dersalis Platform uses some technical terms throughout navigation. This glossary aims to clarify the meaning of each one, making it easier to use the platform and understand the data presented.

  1. Dersalis App
App installed on the worker’s phone, responsible for sending the data collected by the sensor to the cloud.

  2. Sensor
Wearable device used by the worker during work. It collects physiological and movement data that is sent via Bluetooth to the Dersalis App.

  3. SafetyBoard
Fixed panel installed in operation areas. It allows the monitoring of workers even when they are without their phone, as long as they are wearing the active sensor.

  4. Shift (Jornada)
Period during which the worker is active and monitoring is in progress. It can be started and ended automatically or manually, depending on company settings.

  5. Shift Status
Indicates whether the shift is active, paused, or ended. Also shows if there is continuous data collection or interruptions.

  6. Recovery Window
Time interval used to assess whether the data from an incident indicates a real risk or just a temporary spike. The platform uses this window to calculate alerts more accurately.

  7. Risk Scenario
Predefined configuration created by the company to set risk parameters such as elevated body temperature, low movement, or signs of fatigue. Each scenario can trigger different alerts.

  8. Alerts
Signals automatically sent by the platform based on one or more risk criteria defined in the configured scenarios.

  9. Interventions
Planned actions that can be taken automatically or manually in response to alerts. These can include mandatory breaks, communication with the worker, or event logging.

  10. Permissions
Define each manager’s or worker’s access level within the platform. Roles include Operations, Safety, Medical, and Administrator.
